Kydex holsters are generally less likely to scratch guns compared to leather or nylon holsters.
While some wear and tear can be expected with any type of holster, Kydex holsters offer advantages in keeping the gun's finish cleaner.
Kydex can be easily cleaned by washing it under cold water, which helps to remove dust and debris that could otherwise scratch the gun's surface.
On the other hand, leather and nylon holsters trap dirt, dust, and particles, increasing the risk of scratches and causing more wear and tear on the gun's finish over time.
Hopefully your gun does have scratches. That is a good thing because if you carry and train with your gun regularly it is inevitably going to get scratches because that is a sign of use.
However, if you have a gun that is more of a "safe queen" and you want to preserve its pristine condition, it may be best to avoid holstering and carrying it regularly.
